Sales Engineer

The position involves, yet not limited to: Customer Support, Customer Service, System Pricing, Specification Analysis, and System Design.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Candidate will respond to customer sales and technical questions received by phone, email or the web.
  • Perform follow-ups with customers for calls placed to the Company’s Pre-Sales Engineering Group.
  • Carry out installation of Strand software solutions on client premises or pre-configure systems for demos and shows.
  • Provide on-site techincal support.
  • Properly document issues encountered in the field in the Strand job system.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in Customer Service and Technical Support.
  • Sales experience required.
  • Experience with IP surveillance systems is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt and work with different personalities and situations.
  • Ability to multitask and shift prioritizations to meet objectives.

Techincal Expertise

  • Excellent knowledge of networking principles and the IP protocol.
  • Experience with PC configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with networking equipment configuration and troubleshooting (switches, routers, etc.).
  • MCSE and/or CCNA certification is an asset.

Security Industry experience an asset.
