Marketing / Sales Intern

Be a part of Strands dynamic marketing/sales team. Our energetic and creative work environment offers the opportunity to learn and experience sales, marketing and advertising in the security software industry. We ask for a commitment of 10 - 20 hours per week. The length of commitment for the internship is one semester with the option to continue into summer and the 2009 school year. The sales team is charged with raising product awareness through various communications; including media relations, press releases, new product press campaigns, direct phone contact, as well as web site content.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Generate product awareness through varied communication vehicles. * Assist with communications projects/announcements, including press events. * Communicate advertising campaigns for various types of customers. * Assemble press kits and other marketing and promotional materials.


* Entrepreneurial attitude coupled with solid communication and writing skills. * Marketing and sales capabilities including but not limited to the ability develop promotional materials. * Determine web-site content. * Deliver web-based product demonstrations. * Develop order tracking system and develop a customer profile database. * Must have a team player attitude with strong multi-tasking ability and an eagerness to learn. * Strong computer skills necessary.
